A Place in the Sun buyer breaks down in tears during property search leaving Jean Johannson shocked
A RECENT episode of A Place in the Sun saw its presenter Jean Johannson left in a bit of an awkward situation.
The Tuesday episode of the Channel 4 property hunting show saw host Jean introduce viewers to a married couple.
Derek and Julie were on the hunt for a second property in France, and were armed with a healthy budget of £120,000.
They were looking to find a two-bedroom house which had an element of 'shabby chic' to it.
Jean first took them to see a townhouse priced at £134,000, a little over their budget.
However, the coupe took in instant dislike to the property and claimed the price was too high for what it was.

Julie even warned the Channel 4 star that she'd now set the bar low.
Thankfully, property number two satisfied the couple, as they fell in love with the five- bed village house, and it was a strong contender.
Property number three also failed to impress Derek and Julie, as they didn't like the decor of the huge five-bed house Jean had lined up for them.
Julie told the host it reminded her of her "grandma's house".
It was onto the last two properties, and whilst number four - a gorgeous two-bed farmhouse - piqued their interest, they thought it was simply too much work.
At £121,000, it was a fantastic price, which made them potentially consider renovating.
Property number five was a straight-up no from the couple, who struggled to come to a decision with what to do at the end of the show.
Julie was overcome with emotion and actually broke down in tears.
She told Jean that she just couldn't make a choice, and needed more time to think.
Jean asked the couple about the two contenders, property number two and the potential renovation project, number four.
Julie replied: "We have come to a decision..." before pausing, and continuing: "I don't know why I am getting upset."
She explained: "I so wanted to find something, I love them both."
The property hunter started crying again a she continued: "The fourth property... What we have decided to do, is we are going to come back to France in three weeks..."
Derek then intervened as Julie couldn't finish her sentence.
He told Jean that they'd be going home and figuring out the exact costs of a renovation, and were planning to head back to France to view it again.
