"The stuff we're shooting now won't be on screen until February. Harriet [Bibby] is amazing and I absolutely adore her. We have a really lovely off-screen relationship.
"Harriet is lot older than the character which I think has been brilliant because she's been able to get on with that perspective of playing somebody five or six years younger.
"There's a maturity to the performance which I think has been needed because it's been a hell of a year for her."
But what can we expect in 2023?
Daniel added: "I'm looking forward to the next 12, 18 months.
"I'm in my ninth year and I've never worked anywhere longer than two years ever.
"I've been doing this for a living for 30 years but this is by far the longest I've ever worked anywhere.
"I adore it and love it here. You can coast for a bit. There's a lot of regular characters so there are years you're quieter in storyline but it is always lovely when they give you something meaty and fun.

"That's the thing about Corrie, as an actor you get to play comedy and drama. I think it's the only show where you have that opportunity.
"In real life we have funny day, we have rubbish day and the way they write Corrie we really have the opportunity to see the characters in all their guises."
