I’ve quit booze as I’ve been struggling and not in a good place – I don’t like who I am, says Love Island’s Paige
LOVE Island's star Paige Thorne has bravely opened up about ditching alcohol after admitting she is ‘struggling and does not feel in a safe place.'
The reality TV queen revealed the journey she has been on since finding fame on the hit ITV2 show.
Paige, 25, who has been through a rocky split with Adam Collard, opened up about her mental health.
Speaking to The Sun at the star-studded I Wanna Dance With Somebody premiere, Paige told of her decision to quit booze three weeks ago.
The Love Island star, who looked stunning in a custom-made cream sparkly maxi dress said: "I’ve been struggling lately, really struggling with who I am and have not been in a good place. I’ve given up alcohol, it’s been three weeks now, because I’ve realised that I don’t like the person I become when I drink.
"So until I’m in a safe and happy place I want to stop drinking."

The paramedic didn't have the easiest time in the villa when her new potential beau Jacques O'Neill left following a tense week after Casa Amor.
But she soon found comfort in new arrival and Love Island pro Adam Collard.
However, the pair have now called it quits as Paige is focussing on herself.
Speaking at the Whitney premiere with guests including Michelle Heaton and Ria Hebden, she said: "I've had the best time tonight. I grew up listening to Whitney so I've loved every minute."

Paige opened up about her love life saying: "You've got to love yourself, otherwise nobody else will.
"I'm happy being single and I'd love to go on a girl's holiday next year."
For now, she's looking forward to spending Christmas in Swansea with her family.
She said: "We'll all be going to my mum's house - it's the last year we'll be keeping this tradition as we'll be travelling next year, so it's very sentimental."
