Kate, 55, took to her Instagram on Tuesday afternoon to share the snap of her teenage children relaxing at home.

The mother-of-two could be seen smiling as she posed in front of the Christmas tree in one festive snap.

She held up the gigantic evergreen in front of the car as they prepared to bring it into the house to decorate today.

Good Morning Britain star Kate then posed alongside her rarely-seen mum and dad, who joined the family outing.

The final snap saw Billy and Darcey posing in front of their finished tree, which was covered in lights and decorations.

Darcey kept it casual in a pair of tartan red pyjama bottoms and a black top, while Billy wrapped up warm in a puffer coat.

"So they say it takes a village to raise a child, but how many does it take to raise a Christmas tree?" Kate penned.

"Well in my case (altogether now sing along), 5 exasperated shop workers, 4 helpful neighbours, 3 frazzled parents, 2 excited kids & NOT a partridge in a pear tree but my Peugeot.

"Even my own mother didn’t believe I could get a 6-foot tree in but I knew my Percy Peugeot wouldn’t let me down!

"So worth it to see the kids so happy, ready for Christmas."

It comes after Kate revealed her husband Derek Draper is facing a very lengthy wait for Long Covid care.

The former political lobbyist is suffering from the life-changing impacts of his near-death battle with coronavirus.

Kate told Good Morning Britain viewers how her family has been impacted last week, as Derek waits more treatment.

Speaking during a special broadcast from inside Whiston Hospital, Merseyside, she said: "I know with my own experience with Derek.

"Finally got into the Long Covid clinic after a year-and-a-half to an amazing group of people that are working on the impact of Covid damage, and they said 'we're going to get you into this person, that person, we're going to take action'.

"The appointments have now come through for (20)23 and (20)24, so you're talking about four years from the impact."

Derek was taken to intensive care with Covid in March 2020 and only allowed home in April the following year.
