Coronation Street star Daisy Midgelely’s secrets revealed as her long-lost mum arrives
DAISY Midgelely's secrets are set to be revealed as her long-lost mum arrives in Coronation Street.
The fiery character, who is played by actress Charlotte Jordan, will be left thrown when her mum rocks up.
Amy Robbins will play Daisy's mum Christine when she arrives on the cobbles from January.
And it's not going to be the happiest of reunions as Charlotte has revealed their relationship is "fractured".
Speaking about Christine's imminent arrival, Charlotte said: "It's just very fractured and distant. She hasn't really had a relationship with her, since she was extremely young. There's been so many years."
With Daniel Osbourne set to propose to Daisy in upcoming Corrie scenes, her mother turning up is bound to cause a nuisance for the 26-year-old.

Speaking more about Daisy's mum, the actress continued: "She sort of just pops up every now and then doesn't really give Daisy much; she always tends to want something from her and then just clears off so it's just more of a 'what do you want? Why are you here?'"
Charlotte also reckons Christine's appearance will help viewers understand Daisy more.
"It will help them understand why she is spiky sometimes and why she does put up a front because she's had a lot of a lot of things go wrong in her life," she revealed.
When Christine does arrive, she might seem very familiar to fans.

And that's because 51-year-old Amy Robbins has had previous roles in other soaps.
She played police sergeant Rachel James in BBC One's Casualty and has made appearances in EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks.
Rachel is comedian and TV star Emily Atack's auntie - she is younger sister of Emily's mum Kate Robbins.
Coronation Street airs on ITV1 and ITVX.
