I was eliminated from The Traitors – but what BBC bosses told me next blew my mind

THE Traitors finalist Kieran Tompsett could never have predicted the journey he would embark on during his time on the hit BBC programme.

Kieran made it all the way to the final of the BBC One programme hosted by Claudia Winkleman before falling at the final hurdle.

However his journey to the final was far from smooth after he was brutally axed from the show in episode one as part of a huge twist before even setting foot into the castle in the Scottish Highlands which played home to the contestants.

After it appeared that his dream of winning big was over, Kieran could not have predicted what would be coming next.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Kieran spoke of the moment he was sent packing from the game before he discovered he would be returning to the show later on.

Kieran said: "The hardest part was going out at the beginning by far. I'd worked for months to get on it so I was devastated for it to have gone that way at the very beginning.

"The whole thing sort of collapsed for me."

Although his heartache did not last too long when bosses told him he would be returning.

Kieran added: "We found out about half an hour after that we would be coming back.

"They put us in a car and said they were going to take us back to the hotel and I was sat there for a little while and one of the team came in and they asked us how we were feeling before they said to us 'we are bringing you back'.

"It was such a euphoria moment."

Kieran had to endure a six day wait before returning to the game as part of an epic twist which saw him and fellow dumped contestant Amos unveil themselves during one of the show's most talked-about missions.

He said: "Those days felt like weeks. We were in full lockdown, we had lost alliances in the game, we didn't know what was going on, we didn't know who was out.

"We were just dumped back in and they went 'there you go lads', and we were like, 'woah, what is going on here?'.

After being brought back, Kieran made it all the way to the final after becoming the only player to experience life as both a traitor and a faithful.

He told The Sun how he knew his 'game was over' the moment that he became a traitor.

Kieran became the first of the five to leave after failing to convince his fellow players but left them a 'parting gift' by divulging cryptic clues to hint that Wilfred was a traitor

Fans labelled the star a 'hero' after his comments prompted the winners to turn on Wilfred and allow them to take home the prize.
