Kyle confesses to killing Al Chapman in Emmerdale – but will anyone believe him?
ELEVEN-year old Kyle Winchester has struggled to cope with his guilty conscience following Al Chapman’s death.
The young boy played by Huey Quinn makes a shocking confession to the police in future Emmerdale scenes.
Kyle witnessed a heated confrontation between his father Cain Dingle and the late businessman.
But as ITV viewers know, when he tried to protect Cain, the child accidentally killed Al.
Cain took the fall for him and was thrown behind bars while keeping the truth for himself – and a very small circle of people.
Since then, Kyle has been sworn to secrecy by his family, particularly his mother Amy Wyatt (played by Natalie Ann Jamieson) and stepmother Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb).
However, things are set to come to a head when the authorities begin to question the events surrounding Al Chapman’s murder.
Awash with guilt and unable to cope with the weight of his actions, Kyle confesses he was responsible for Al’s death.
Coming up, Amy is concerned when a police officer approaches her.
Meanwhile, Moira is also confronted by the police at Butler’s Farm and things escalate when her brother Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) is also met with an officer.
At Jacob’s Fold, the hunk is alarmed to learn the police want to take him to the station to answer some questions.
In a police interview room, Moira sticks to her story while DS Malik questions her on her abrupt trip with Kyle.
Mack remains tight-lipped during his own interview just as the detective presses him for information on the youngster.
But while the siblings manage to keep a levelled head, Amy panics and desperately tries to stick to the line.
Soon enough, Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) is also thrown into the mix and he’s rattled when DS Malik reminds him of the serious consequences of perverting the course of justice.
The villagers gather around after their afternoon at the police station and they realise how high the stakes are for everybody.
Moira later feels anxious about her Caleb Milligan’s (Will Ash) involvement in Kyle’s case.
The latter, who made a surprise arrival in the Dales on Christmas Day, insists he knows how high the stakes are.
But when Amy and Moira question his methods, Caleb gets defensive – could he be hiding something?
