Paddy and Christine McGuinness reunite for New Year’s Day family outing after split
PADDY and Christine McGuinness reunited for a New Year’s Day family outing following their split.
The former couple visited Redsmere Lake, Macclesfield, to feed the ducks with their three kids.
The parents had individual pictures taken beside the picturesque lake and Paddy even indulged with some ice cream.
The Top gear star wrote: “Lovely start to the year. 🍦🦢 #january.”
While Christine posted a picture of herself on Imstagram and wrote: “First photo of 2023 🦢
HNY everyone I hope you are all well and safe. Whatever you chose to do, I hope you chose what was best for you!
I stayed home and woke up with my babies today, we went to feed the ducks 🦆 perfect start to my year ❤️.”
Fans were happy to see the estranged pair getting on well.
One wrote: “I love the way you both do so much together as a family!”
A second commented: “Nice to see you doing things with the family.”
Christine said she rang in the New Year at home in quiet fashion, having not been out for the occasion since she was 19.
Meanwhile she and close pal Chelcee Grimes have revealed they hope to “make more memories” together in the coming year.
The mum-of-three, 34, was spotted kissing her best pal recently.
Christine shared a video as she looked back on her past year, which featured glimpses of footballer Chelcee.
She told her followers: “More than ready for 202FREE HNY Thank you for sticking with me this year I appreciate you.”
Chelcee replied: “What a year. Proud of you here’s to 2023 < that’s Nozeco”
Christine asked her: “Where are we going next year?”
In response, the footballer remarked: “Anywhere we can make more memories.”
Christine and Top Gear presenter Paddy announced they were separating after 11 years of marriage early last year.
At the time, a joint statement on their Instagram pages said: “A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus as always is to continue loving and supporting our children.”
They are still living together in their family home in Manchester with their three kids.
Since then Christine has been spending lots of time with new BFF Chelcee — who is also a music star— after they met as contestants on ITV sports challenge show The Games last January.
Since that aired they have been abroad together to Croatia, Santorini and Crete.
In June, The Sun on Sunday pictured them walking arm-in-arm on a girls’ holiday with other pals in Croatia.
Speaking about her friendship with Chelcee for the first time, Christine told Fabulous magazine in the summer: “Chelcee is my soul sister. Just straight away from the day I met her; I just loved her.
“She’s hilarious. And honestly, it was just the best time on the show.”
