Shareef Amin was hit by bullets as he ran through enemy fire before being blown off his feet by artillery rounds.

The Sun previously reported how the ex-soldier, 40, suffered injuries to every limb in the attack which killed one of his unit.

As Rambo opened up on his injuries, Richard, 66, stunned Good Morning Britain fans as he hopped off his seat to inspect them.

He said: "Actually, I will just come across to you mate."

After walking to the other side of the desk, he added: "This here just for the producers purposes," as the cameras panned in.

He crouched down by Rambo and pointed at the scarring on his left arm and continued: "So this is a bullet wound, that there, this is a through and through."

Richard then headed back to his chair as he mused on Rambo's experiences, stating: "They really wanted to kill you."

Fans were quick to react to his unexpected movement around the studio, with one writing on Twitter: "Omg Madeley is so cringe. He will no doubt have a story about when he did something similar 🤣."

A second raged: "Alright Richard, it's not a physical examination f**k sake #gmb," to which one replied: "I was wondering what he was doing 😅"

Another quipped: "Dr Partridge is at it again. Don't forget to roll your sleeves up and tuck your tie in. #GMB."

One then added: "Richard Madeley really is a terrible people person."

Talking of Rambo, another wrote: "GMB wow what an absolute hero that young man is, he deserves his name RAMBO what a man bless him."

After three months in hospital, Shareef was recently airlifted home and admitted to Bristol’s Southmead Hospital for reconstruction surgery on the NHS.

Showing the toughness that got him likened to Sylvester Stallone’s movie soldier, Shareef, of Bristol, is determined to return to Ukraine to help the war effort.

He previously told us: “I’m convinced I’ll be up and running and back on the ground to help in whatever way I can," a comment he reinforced on today's GMB.
