Navid, 27, initially rose to fame during the 16th instalment of The Apprentice.

Although he made an impression with viewers for his outspoken personality, he failed to impress Lord Sugar and was fired after the third task.

But now he’s revealed he is looking to pursue a new career as a medical expert on television.

Speaking to the Secure the Insecure podcast with Johnny Seifert, Navid revealed that he is in talks with ITV for a slot on one of their daytime shows.

Navid and the host discussed how to use medical knowledge to communicate with the public.

The reporter then enquired about whether the former reality TV candidate approached execs on shows, specifically This Morning, about potential slots.

Navid confirmed: “At the moment, we’re just basically in conversation with ITV. So it’s all in talks at the moment.

“I’m constantly pushing my agent to have this talk and to have this conversation.”

This Morning, which is presented by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, regularly features popular medical experts such as Dr Ranj Singh and Dr Zoe Williams.

Dr Chris Steele MBE was the programme’s original doctor, having first appeared in the debut episode of the show in 1988.

But Navid explained how he wants to use his specific experience in pharmacy to add a different dimension to the esteemed sofa.

He said: “What I’m trying to work through is really to help the public by being on daytime TV, trying to talk about medications, health care.

“Even when it comes to medical conditions, because we know about different medical conditions, and not to be rude to doctors, sometimes we may know much more than them.”

He added: “On a daily basis, I see so many mistakes from doctors in terms of the dosage, in terms of the medicines they prescribe, and we have to correct them.

“So I just feel like if I’m there making that voice, and I’ve got people asking the question, I can help not just one person, but I can help so many people, which can potentially help save cost towards the NHS.”

The Apprentice was only the start of his fledgling career, as he has also appeared on the Channel 5 series, Rich Kids Go Skint.

But he is hoping to one day present alongside the likes of Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary after recent appearances on the hit Channel 4 dating series, Celebs Go Dating.
