THE Chase fans were all left saying the same thing as cheeky chappie Adam Thomas attempting to win big on the ITV quiz show.

Bradley Walsh welcomed the four celebrity hopefuls to take on chaser Mark 'The Beast' Labbett in order to take home some cash for their charities.

However many fans were left less than impressed with former Emmerdale hunk Adam on the show after he had a rather weak performance in what ended up being a hillarious round.

It was clear from the off that Adam was not too confident in his own quizzing abilities as he found himself crumbling under the pressure during his cash-builder but still managed to bag £1,000.

The actor took it all in his stride however as he joked with his fellow players about which offer to take.

The Beast offered him a low offer of £500 but also the higher offer, which Adam revealed he was tempted by as he was a 'lucky' man.

Mark could not help but laugh as the whole set erupted into giggles at Adam's optimism.

Having spoken with the fellow celebs, Adam opted to go for the more sensible £500 offer but promised to deliver up some laughs along the way as Brendan remarked he was making 'great telly'.

Some fans online did not take too favourably to the actor's general knowledge skills with one labelling him 'thick' in a scathing tweet.

They wrote: "Adam as thick as mince."

Another echoed: "That was torture to watch."

However it appeared Adam's fun-loving personality was enough to win many fans of the show around as they gushed over his stint on the show.

One fan wrote: "I love #adamthomas! Such a great personality #TheChase."

While another added: "Crying laughing here at Adam."

Whilst a third jokingly added of his appearance: "Ah. bad luck Adam, I'm not surprised though..."

The star was eventually caught and unable to take any cash back to his fellow players.

Adam is currently reprising his role in BBC school based drama Waterloo Road which made it's long-awaited return last week.
