Coronation Street cancelled tonight amid soap schedule chaos
SOAP fans will have to wait before one of Weatherfield's biggest storylines finally gets a conclusion.
Once again, viewers will have to do without their Coronation Street fix tonight.
As diehard fans know, the long-running program airs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm.
However, ITV has thrown its own schedule into chaos and cancelled another trip to the cobbles in favour of the FA Cup coverage.
The Manchester-based show has been temporarily given the chop as footy fans will catch up with the third round of the tournament between Oxford and Arsenal.
Both teams will face one another at the Kassam Stadium with their confrontation airing from 7.30pm.
More Corrie
As a result, rival ITV soap Emmerdale will be aired half an hour ahead of schedule at 7pm.
This is the latest of a long line of disruptions.
Corrie fans were frustrated to find out the evening staple had also been cancelled on Friday (January 6, 2023).
The show was scrapped to make way for the Manchester United v Everton match, weeks after a series of cancellations for the World Cup.

Coronation Street has been cancelled at a highly inconvenient time for viewers as the drama prepares for the end of one of its biggest storylines.
On Wednesday (January 4), troubled teen Max Turner uncovered Griff Reynolds' real plan for the cobbles.
The racist thug has been spreading his vile views all across Weatherfield with the lad's help.
Griff groomed Max, most notably by getting rid of his bullies for him, in a bid to recruit him in his far-right group.

Max provided help through his video editing skills but had no clue Griff was planning to wreak deadly havoc during Maria Connor's Peace Market.
In Corrie's latest instalment, he figured out one of the Speed Daal vans had been tampered with and believed a bomb had been hidden inside the vehicle.
His hunch was revealed to be correct, although Yasmeen Nazir and her granddaughter Alya both brushed him off when he first approached them.
After Alya Nazir managed to save the day by putting her life on the line, Max was arrested for his involvement in Griff's antics.
