VIEWERS of Next Level Chef have been left with the same complaint, just minutes into the new Gordon Ramsay fronted show.
Next Level Chef sees talented cooks going against each other in three unique kitchen spaces all competing for a life-changing prize.
The contestants will be under the eyes of the panel across three floors as they battle it out to produce the best dish to avoid elimination.
Ultimately, there can only be one winner.
But as an the very first episode aired on ITV tonight, viewers were quick to question why the format was so similar to a Netflix film named The Platform.

The Spanish science fiction horror has been likened to Gordon Ramsay’s show by a great deal of watchers.
One person said: “#NextLevelChef so Gordon Ramsey or some tv producers watched El Hoyo / The Platform, missed the point of the film and thought let’s change the concept and turn it into a cooking contest…”
Another said: “#NextLevelChef brings back memories of the film ‘The Platform’ but with chefs!”
A third added: “They’ve 100% robbed this concept from The Platform but I’m here for it #NextLevelChef”
And a fourth commented: “So someone saw The Platform and turned it into a cooking competition? #NextLevelChef?”
The winner will receive a life-changing cash prize of £100,000 and a one-year mentorship from all three mentors which will help make their culinary dreams a reality.

In an ITV release about the show, host Gordon Ramsay references “accountants, ex-military [personnel], models, corporate business people, a Paralympian… talented mums, talented dads and some really cross-sector individuals”.
Speaking ahead of the series, Ramsay said: “I want to see our chefs, social media stars, home cooks whatever their level, whatever their experience, show me what they can do.
“Whether they’re at the top cooking in the dream kitchen with every gadget and the finest ingredients or in the middle kitchen, good equipment, good ingredients but nothing fancy or, and this is where it gets really interesting, down in the basement kitchen.
"Super basic, minimal ingredients and left-over scraps then show me what you’re really made of!"
He continued: “Talent and tenacity will absolutely shine through, and someone will walk away with an equally Next Level prize, I can’t wait to get started!”
