Singer and TV star Michelle, 43, said: "For me, the thing that I can see that doesn’t work as well is my mind.

Menopausal brain and just battling what I have done in the past five years and having two years of recovery, obviously I’m not as sharp as I used to be.

“My partner Lucasz’s way of explaining things… I can hear him and I nod, but it’s really difficult to take it all in.

"The signal from my brain to my feet is slower.”

REHAB STINT

The Liberty X singer spent four weeks in The Priory two years ago after being left just days from death.

She went on a drug and booze-fuelled "suicide mission" for three years, which was brought on by a string of severe medical issues.

Michelle had been drinking up to two bottles of wine and a bottle of vodka virtually every day since 2018, and taking cocaine.

She previously credited Katie Price for getting her the help she needed, saying: “I texted Katie while I was in The Priory, ‘You saved my life’. Because The Priory did save my life.

“What I was doing was a suicide mission. I never actually thought, ‘I want to kill myself’, but ultimately I was killing myself."

Michelle shot to fame on ITV’s Popstars in 2000, leading to the formation of Liberty X a year later.

After they split in 2007 she moved into writing and TV work.

She joins this year's DOI line-up alongside drag queen and TV personality The Vivienne, actress and DJ Patsy Palmer, The Wanted star Siva Kaneswaran, and former footballer John Fashanu.

Love Island winner Ekin-Su Culculoglu, Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson, Coronation Street's Mollie Gallagher, Towie star Joey Essex, comedian Darren Harriott and Hollyoaks star Carley Stenson are also among the contestants.

Dancing On Ice begins on January 15 at 6.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
