Love Island fans mock Haris after he compares himself to Cristiano Ronaldo

LOVE Island fans have brutally mocked Islander Haris Namai after the reality star compared himself to Cristiano Ronaldo.

The singleton - who was introduced to the ITV2 dating show last night - compared himself to the world-famous footballer.

Haris, 21, a TV salesman from Doncaster, was seen introducing himself on last night's show, as the new series kickstarted.

He told fans he was hoping his time in the villa would help him find "the right one", as he admitted he "never found love" before his time on the show.

However, as he described himself and what the girls might be attracted to, he made a comparison to footballer Ronaldo.

The reality star said that his mum thinks he looks like Cristiano, 37, thanks to his tall, dark and handsome complexion.

Despite promising that it would help him with the ladies, Haris' lookalike comparison ended up in him being mocked by fans watching at home.

Taking to Twitter, some fans cruelly compared the star to a statue of the footballer at Madeira International Airport.

"You don't look like Ronaldo..." one wrote, as another chimed in: "Who the f**k told Haris he looks like Ronaldo?"

"Haris your mum is a true liar. Ronaldo?" a third added, while a fourth said: "No one is telling Haris he looks like Ronaldo, unless they mean a caricature."

"“My mum says I look like Ronaldo” Haris your mum needs a trip to specsavers babe," a fifth concluded.

Others stepped in to gush over Haris, as they defended him from the mocking comments.

One wrote: "He wasn't lying with the Ronaldo resemblance," while a second said: "Looks more like Phil Foden."

It comes after Haris was seen with ex on dates and holiday as she hits back after he claims he’s never had a relationship.

In the throwback video, the pair looked very loved-up as they holidayed together, enjoyed romantic dinners out and spent time at each other's homes.

The Doncaster lad could be seen jet skiing in an exotic location, while Courtney held on tightly to him.

In another clip, Haris wrapped his arm around the stunning influencer and a third recording showed him asleep.

The captions read: "Chilling around each other's houses, going on walks, eating together, sleeping together."

The blonde beauty captioned the video: "Anyone else’s boyfriend shadowbox at any given moment, so content with life."

Love Island fans were quick to spot the video circulating on social media and raced to comment.
