Love Island fans slam ‘cruel’ bosses for letting one of the contestants into the villa
LOVE Island fans have accused show bosses of being “cruel” for offering Will Young a spot in the villa.
Viewers feel the single farmer is “struggling” in the winter series of the ITV2 reality show and that he should have stayed at home.
It has even been suggested that he was put into Love Island deliberately as “the awkward one”.
The comments come after the villa’s only single islander was left desperately telling the boys that he is going to ‘graft their birds’.
But so far, he has only found himself getting ‘pied’ by the girls.
Taking to Twitter, one fan asked: “Why did they put Will in there? It seems really cruel to see him struggling.”
Another added: “Will needs all the help he can get poor thing, feel like producers intentionally put a awkward one in the bunch, it’s getting old ITV.”
And a third penned: “Producers have done Will dirty and are just using him for the joke factor. They didn’t even try and put any type of girl in there that would fancy him and knew this would be the outcome.”
Will was left without a partner during Tuesday night’s episode.
He had been coupled up with ring girl Olivia Hawkins – until bombshell Tom Clare arrived.
Tom, 23, chose Olivia, 27, when given the pick of the bunch, leaving Will alone.
The Islanders have been warned that there will be a recoupling later this week, which will leave one single person on a plane home to the UK.
Will was seen trying to get to know Lana Jenkins, 25, in Wednesday night’s instalment – but she quickly told him she didn’t feel a romantic spark in brutal scenes.
