I was on The Weakest Link – I was stunned by what happened on set before the cameras started rolling
IT is the game show classic that has seen many players come and go over the years.
Although now hosted by Romesh Ranganathan, fans of the show will remember it most from its heyday with the notorious Anne Robinson casting her beady eye over proceedings.
Anne was famed for her quips at the contestants and sometimes insulting comments as the players voted each other off round by round in a bid to remain standing at the end.
Now a former contestant from the BBC favourite has spoken out about her time on the quiz show and discussed the backstage secrets that left her stunned.
Anne Rason, an extras actress and a former player on the programme has spilled all about her time on the show.
She said: "My biggest surprise on The Weakest Link was the way we were treated before, during and after the filming."

She admitted there was no contact with host Anne until they arrived on the set to being filming the episode.
Anne further divulged: "Anne Robinson had absolutely no contact with us before or after the show and so certainly not friendly and probably a bit of a diva!
"She only came out to do her bit, and then headed straight off afterwards. We didn’t meet her beforehand like in other shows.
"The only chat we had was when she was asking me about myself during one of the rounds."

She also admitted it was not all glitz and glam behind the scenes as players were forced to do their own hair and make-up before arriving on set.
Anne added: "Another surprise is that the studio was a lot smaller in real life than it looks on TV.
"There were people on hand to check on our hair and makeup but we had to do it at home ourselves before the show or, in the Travelodge like me, where they put me up to stay."
The Weakest Link is available on BBC iPlayer.
