Hard man Gladiator star Wolf knocked out in first round of real-life Squid Game
ORIGINAL Gladiator Wolf has been knocked out in the first round of the reality TV version of Squid Game.
The bodybuilder, real name Michael Van Wijk, was believed to have been flown to Britain from his home in New Zealand by producers.
But he was eliminated during the Red Light, Green Light challenge.
Fan favourite Wolf, now 70, starred in eight series of Gladiators, which drew up to 16million viewers in the 1990s.
He returned for a 2008 revamp.
An insider told The Sun: “Everyone recognised him straight away and was excited to meet him.

"He was a really nice guy. It’s a shame he was taken out in the first round but he seemed in good spirits.
“It just shows you how hard the competition was.
"If he found it hard what hope was there for any one else?”
Squid Game: The Challenge is being filmed for Netflix at Cardington studios in Bedfordshire, with recreations of sets from hit South Korean drama.
