Alison Hammond to host huge new BBC dance show
THIS Morning's Alison Hammond has bagged a big hosting job on the telly.
The tug of war between ITV and BBC over Alison Hammond continues, as I can reveal the This Morning host has just scooped a huge Beeb hosting gig.
She will present new dance format Clear The Dancefloor, which sees zany amateur dancers competing against each other.
The Brummie ex-Big Brother star, below, is no stranger to a tango herself, after appearing on Strictly Come Dancing in 2014 with pro partner Aljaz Skorjanec.
She has also been a hit as a judge on lively BBC1 singing series I Can See Your Voice, hosted by Paddy McGuinness.
An insider tells me: “The BBC thinks it’s a real coup to have scooped Alison for their shiny new show.
More on Alison Hammond
"She’s in hot demand right now and is typically seen as ITV talent.
“Alison has loads of energy and the viewers at home absolutely love her.
“She’s refreshing and fun and isn’t afraid to laugh at herself. Excitement around the new series is really building.”
The star recently appeared on Michael McIntyre's Big Show, where Alison agreed to play Send to All, where Michael sends an embarrassing text to all the contacts in the celebrities phone.
Whilst searching through her phone, Michael found a couple of questionable contact names, which of course he exposed, joking: "You have done what I do, which is you have details of who people are, like 'Jodie cleaner.'
"And you also have 'Emma laser vagina'."
Alison burst into laughter, insisting: "I have no idea who that is...."
She then sheepishly admitted: "Well...she might do like...laser...removal."
