CORONATION Street fans are in shock after a twist in Max Turner’s radicalisation storyline.
The teenager - who is played by actor Paddy Bever in the ITV soap - has been charged with inciting terrorism after being groomed by far right psychopath Griff Reynolds.
Last week Max was horrified when the videos he made for Griff convinced Blake to go on a stabbing spree - leaving Alya Nazir fighting for her life.
Appearing in court next to Blake, Max was distracted when Blake plead guilty telling him: “We’re going to be heroes for this.”
A shaken Max was then asked how he pleads on the charge of incitement to terrorism and he replied: “Guilty.”
David was in shock and ran up to Max to try and get him to reconsider.

“Take it back, tell them you didn’t know what you were doing,” he begged as Max was lead away.
Later David tried to convince Max to change his plea but the teenager wouldn’t listen.
“I need to take responsibility, David,” Max told him.
“I have nothing more to say. So many people warned me, Spider, Shona, you. I didn’t want to listen. I didn’t want to. Alya could’ve died.”

David was left shouting down the phone to a dial tone as Gail walked in and discovered Max had pleaded guilty to inciting terrorism.
“I know this isn’t what you want to hear but maybe he’s finally realised what nastiness he’s been involved in.
“He’s been accountable for his actions. Maybe that’s a good thing? Perhaps being in there will sort his head out?”
“Over the course of the next 15 years?” replied David, dropping the bombshell on Gail.
“I should’ve dragged him away from it all. I didn’t try hard enough. He’d have come back kicking and screaming but at least he’d have been at home.
“This is all on me, I’ve let him down. I’ve let Kylie down as well. I’ve destroyed his life.”
