EMMERDALE fans have worked out who stole Will Taylor’s watch - and it isn’t Sam Dingle.

The mega expensive watch went missing last week when Will took it off in the kitchen and he quickly decided groundsmen Sam was responsible.

He had caught Sam using one of the showers at Home Farm after the boiler at their cottage broke.

Sam was immediately sacked and his wife Lydia resigned furious that Kim would believe Sam would steal, or that she would cover for him.

In tonight’s episode Will was still raging about the missing watch.

“I’ve turned it upside down, twice,” he said to Kim.

“I still can’t believe Sam would nick it like that, after we’d given him a second chance.”

As Kim went in on how disappointed she was about the entire situation, Nicky entered and tried to put doubt in Will’s mind.

Later Lydia arrived at Home Farm and begged Kim to give Sam his job back but she wouldn’t buckle.

Meanwhile Sam was being attacked by Will - and defended by Caleb - with Will demanding the return of the watch by nightfall.

But lurking behind them was Nicky who stepped in to take Will home.

And when they got there, Nicky appeared to Kim and Will holding the watch.

“Thomas was playing with it, good job I went back up to say bye,” he said.

And fans are convinced Nicky was the one who had it all along - especially when he turned up at the Dingles farm and tried to smooth it all over.

One wrote: "Anybody else reckon Nicky stole the watch originally but when he saw Will going for Sam it made him change his mind and hand it back?"

A second said: "Nicky has decided to just steal the stuff Kim has forgotten she's got instead of the gifts she gave Will from now on, so problem solved!"
