The Londoner took to Twitter to share her reply from a casting director on the show.

She tweeted: "Got rejected for A Place In The Sun," with a sad face emoji and attached a screenshot of the email.

The email read: "Many thanks for your interest in applying to take part in A Place In The Sun. Unfortunately, we cannot progress with your application as the process does not involve going to the actual sun.

"The name refers to overseas travel in pursuit of buying a property, typically to a location with good (or better) weather than we have in the UK.

"While I appreciate your desire to be launched into the sun to never return', this is not something we can help with on this occasion. Best of luck in your endeavours."

Fans flooded to Twitter to share their amusement.

One said: "That’s the best rejection email I’ve ever seen."

Another wrote: "On which occasion can they help with being launched into the sun?"

A third quipped: "Seems like a weak reason for rejection. Is there an appeals process?"

This comes after presenter Jasmine Harman has revealed a new show-first and format change.

Jasmine revealed that for the first time ever, she and her fellow presenters will be heading back overseas to re-visit some of their favourite house hunters to discover what happened when the cameras switched off.

The star told fans that the show will see how the buyers managed to transform their lives after finally finding their perfect place abroad and inform viewers if they managed to complete the all-important changes and renovations they set out to do whilst on the property search.

She made the exciting revelation during a chat with presenter Scott McGlynn on his online talk series Celebrity Skin Talk.

Revealing that fans always beg her to do a series of re-visits, Jasmine said: "I'm so pleased because this year we actually are going to be doing some re-visits.

"That is something I am really looking forward to, I can't wait."

Jasmine admitted she had made her own private visits over the years to check in with the homeowners but this will be the first time Channel 4 cameras will follow her to see just exactly what they have managed to do.

She added: "It's amazing to be able to go back and see what they have done with the place and it's so exciting to actually be able to show everyone else what has happened after filming finished!"
