The Masked Singer UK 2023 LIVE — Fans saying the same thing as Knitting unveiled as huge 90s pop star in double dumping
FANS of The Masked Singer are saying the same thing as Knitting and Otter were both unmasked in a double eviction on Saturday night.
And in last night's , two contestants were unmasked as Otter, Fawn and Knitting found themselves in the bottom three
After the audience vote, the first to go was Claire Richards from Steps, with many guessing over the weeks that the 90s popstar was behind the soft, cuddly exterior - with one fan saying: "What a travesty Claire is out so soon! Or should I say Tragedy?".
And in the second eviction of the night, the judging panel chose Otter - who was unveiled as Daisy May Cooper.
The Masked Singer UK 2023 semi-final kicks off on this Saturday evening at 7pm.

Fans all say the same thing as Claire Richards is revealed
Masked Singer fans have rushed to social media following the unmasking of Knitting last night.
Responding to Claire Richard's tweet, fans claim they knew it was her all along.
One wrote: "Knew your voice as soon as you started!
That's what happens when you've been listening to Steps since the beginning!
"My 5 year old daughter even got that it was you on her own! Great to hear you. Shocking that you left this soon. Well done!"
While another added: "Got you straight away. Been a huge fan of steps since day one. Some of clues were red herrings but got most of them. Loved chain reaction one"
Remembering Knitting's dramatic reveal
Knitting was unmasked in typically dramatic fashion last night, leaving Masked Singer fans across the globe gobsmacked.
The fan-favourite masked celeb was revealed to be none other than Claire Richards.

What is the prize for winning The Masked Singer?
It is still unclear what the winner of ITV’s The Masked Singer will get.
After winning season one of the American version of the show, T-Pain won a golden mask-shaped trophy.
As far as we know the rapper did not receive any form of prize money.
Every Masked Singer 2023 exit so far
Last night, Fawn, Knitting and Otter found themselves in the bottom three and two were sent home.
Knitting was revealed to be Steps star Claire Richards while Otter was no other than actress Daisy May Cooper.
Along with Pigeon, these are the other characters revealed:
- Week five - Pigeon was revealed to be comedian Katherine Ryan
- Week four – Rubbish unmasked as seven-time snooker world champion Stephen Hendry.
- Week three – Cat and Mouse were the first ever duo on show, Martin and Shirlie Kemp
- Week two – Piece of Cake unmasked as Shout singer Lulu
- Week one – Ghost revealed to be footballer Chris Kamara
Fans want to see more of Stephen Mulhern on The Masked Singer
Fans asked ITV to keep Stephen Mulhern on as a judge for The Masked Singer after they enjoyed watching him comment about the different acts during last night's show.
One wrote on Twitter: "Actually enjoyed seeing @StephenMulhern on @MaskedSingerUK – can we have him as a permanent panellist?"
Another chimed in: "@StephenMulhern You were fantastic and you should be on Masked Singer every week."
Who remains on The Masked Singer?
Five celebrities are yet to be revealed on The Masked Singer.
The semi-finals kick off this Saturday.

Fawn 'exposed' as huge 90s girl band star
Fans are convinced that All Saints star Natalie Appleton is hiding behind Fawn's mask.
Fawn's VT showed her getting all glammed up with the help of an angel and a devil.
Fans believe that refers to the All Saints album, Saints & Sinners.
Many took to Twitter, with one writing: "Saints and Sinners was an All Saints record. It's defo an Appleton."
Another chimed in: "Fawn is definitely Natalie Appleton, she appeared on the pop edition of The Weakest Link. All Saints performance on the National Lottery is also a good giveaway."
Fans 'convinced' who Jellyfish is
The Masked Singer viewers are now fully convinced that US star Amber Riley is hiding behind Jellyfish's mask.
Last night, Jellyfish performed Alone by Heart and during their VT, the clue 'goop' was heard leading many to link it with Amber's co-star on Glee, Gwenyth Paltrow - the creator of the brand Goop.
One fan said: "Surely the Gooped clue is referencing Gwyneth Paltrow who was on Glee with Amber Riley."
However, some fans remain unsure as Amber have just won the American version of The Masked Singer.
What did Daisy May Cooper say about hiding behind Otter?
After singing Omi's Cheerleader in an American accent, actress Daisy May Cooper was revealed as Otter last night.
She said: "I've loved it I'm exhausted and absolutely revealed but I've loved every single second of it. I did it for my daughter Pip, and because I needed the cash!"
What did Claire Richards say about the reveal?
Steps star Claire Richards was revealed to be Knitting during last night's round of The Masked Singer.
Upon her reveal, Claire said: "I thought you were going to get me from day one! So when you didn't have a clue I was chuffed.
"I put a lot of thought into it, because I am a massiven fan of this show. It's just been amazing, I loved it!"
Stephen Mulhern left stunned by Knitting's voice
TV presenter Stephen Mulhern was convinced that Knitting was his pal Claire Richards and was left stunned by her incredible voice.
Fans were quick to jump on the theory too as one wrote: "Knitting is so obviously Claire Richards from Steps. Guessed her last week. Also Chains = Chain Reaction. The way she hits them high notes as well does it for me. She is crazy good and deserves more recognition for her talent!"
It comes after Knitting was revealed to be the Steps star during last night's show while Daisy May Cooper was under Otter's mask.

THE Masked Singer fans were left gobsmacked tonight as two characters were named and dumped ahead of the series final.
Viewers have been trying to guess for weeks who were behind the masks in the wacky celebrity talent show.
Otter's hilarious rendition of Omi's Cheerleader
Otter delivered a hilarious rendition of Cheerleader by Omi for their performance on The Masked Singer, while dressed wearing scuba equipment.
Comedian Mo Gilligan described the performance as "absolutely bonkers" before guessing the clue "Don't laugh" was referring to the title of Daisy May Cooper's book.
Meanwhile, Jonathan Ross, who noted Otter always came out with another Otter while performing, was part of a double act and guessed it was comedian Mel Giedroyc.
Singer Rita Ora said the performance was "Otter this world" before guessing another British double act star Jennifer Saunders, while guest panellist Stephen Mulhern suggested it was Kim Woodburn.

Fans are convinced they know the identity of Jacket Potato.
After the hot potato took to the stage last week fans quickly began to decipher the clues given and theories of which star-studded celeb was behind the mask began to surface.
The clues given by Jacket Potato were: “Like all good spuds, I’m smooth, creamy and occasionally baked.”
They also pulled out cards saying ‘Nosey Parker’, ‘Pig Face’, ‘Silly Billy’ and ‘Dog Nose’.
With all this in mind, fans have guessed that EastEnders legend Shane Richie is the man behind the mask.
Many fans have also speculated that Jacket Potato could either be a celebrity chef like Gordon Ramsay or Jamie Oliver.
Jellyfish stunned with a performance of Heart's classic tune Alone
Jllyfish was next up on The Masked Singer, impressing with Alone by Heart - sporting an LED-illuminated outfit.
Based on the voice and the reference to "Royal without a crown", Rita Ora thought it could be X Factor winner Alexandra Burke, meanwhile Davina McCall guessed Alesha Dixon.
Mo Gilligan suggested it was Beverley Knight after spotting a knight in the clues, and Stephen Mulhern thought it was Alicia Keys - given a set of keys was shown in the hints.
Jonathan Ross said: "What a voice, what a performer", before guessing Amber Riley from US show Glee.
Is Phoenix Anton Du Beke?
Phoenix closed the performances on the show, impressing with a rendition of It's Not Unusual by Sir Tom Jones.
Gilligan thought the celebrity could be Strictly Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke because the performance was so "flamboyant", while Ross suggested it could be Paddy McGuinness who starred in Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights sitcom.
Mulhern spotted the singer had stayed in character, suggesting it was West End star Michael Ball - meanwhile a reference to deep diving made Rita Ora believe it was Olympian Tom Daley.
Jacket Potato delivered a Masked Singer first
In a Masked Singer first, Jacket Potato took to the stage playing a golden guitar while performing Go Your Own Way by Fleetwood Mac while boxes of potatoes danced around them.
The audience and judges took to their feet during the performance, with TV presenter McCall describing it as "epic" and "electrifying" before guessing it was Elvis Costello.
Gilligan thought it could be Vic Reeves while Ora suggested it was Eric Clapton, who she said was playing in her household growing up.
Rhino delivered powerful Ariana Grande rendition
Rhino delivered a powerful rendition of Ariana Grande's Into You for their performance while dressed as a cowboy.
Based on the wanted clue, judge Ora guessed it could be singer Max George from British band The Wanted while Ross opted to pick former The X Factor winner James Arthur.
Comedian Gilligan went for Take That's Jason Orange following a clue about a reunion, while Mulhern thought it could be US actor Ben Stiller - given the Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn clues.
What did Fawn sing last night?
Fawn opened the show with an upbeat rendition of Sigma's Changing, with guest panellist Stephen Mulhern, who admitted he is a "huge fan" and has "never missed an episode" of the show, thinking the celebrity was Liz McClarnon from girl group Atomic Kitten.
Judge Mo Gilligan said he was "absolutely fawning in love with you", before guessing the act was Canadian singer-songwriter Shania Twain.
Davina McCall guessed it could be Disney star Bella Thorne, while Rita Ora suggested it was TV presenter Cat Deeley or Anne Robinson - and Jonathan Ross thought it might be Coronation Street star Kym Marsh.
Otter revealed as Daisy May Cooper
Otter has been unveiled on The Masked Singer as comedian and actress Daisy May Cooper.
Mo Gilligan, who was the first panellist to guess the correct celebrity, said: "I got one! And it was an otter and I love otters. Do you know what it was with you Daisy, you could tell you were a comedic actress because you're so physical, but you're a really good singer."
Host Joel Dommett said: "You didn't stop moving the entire time," to which Cooper replied: "Tell me about it! Oh my god why did I put so much energy into the first...and then I had to keep it up. Why couldn't I have been a sloth or something."
A reference to being in pairs was a reference to her brother, to which she joked: "I'm trying to move away from him."
The 36-year-old added: "I've loved it, I mean I'm exhausted and absolutely relieved but I loved every single second of it and I did this for my daughter Pip who is a massive fan of the show and because I needed the cash."
Knitting unveiled as Claire Richards
Knitting has been unveiled on The Masked Singer as Claire Richards from pop group Steps.
The 45-year-old said: "I thought you were just going to get me from day one. On the first show when you didn't have a clue, I was so chuffed."
The singer said she put "a lot of thought" into the Northern accent she put on, and admitted she is a "massive massive fan" of the ITV show. "I feel like a fan who won a competition. It's just been amazing I've just loved it."
She added she hoped her children would be "surprised" and "happy", but admitted her son might be "a little bit mortified.
Judge Davina McCall described her voice as "stunning", while Rita Ora said: "Your voice is fantastic. And the tragedy thing was such a huge clue."
Host Joel Dommett said everybody was stuck on the four knitting needles, to which Richards said: "That's because I came fourth in Big Brother."
