LOVE Island fans were devastated tonight after the show was forced to say goodbye to one of its original stars.

Tanyel Revan was sent packing back to the UK after being left single in Thursday’s brutal coupling.

There were tears at the villa door as the cast said goodbye

Love Island‘s boys were given all the power this time – and Ron Hall, who many think she really wanted a relationship with, did not save the London hair stylist.

Instead, he coupled up with Lana Jenkins, while footballer Tom Clare picked Samie Elishi.

Will Young chose Aussie bombshell Jessie Wynter and Shaq Muhammad opted to stick with Tanya Manhenga.

Casey O’Gorman coupled with the newest arrival in the villa, Claudia Fogarty, while Kai Fagan chose Olivia Hawkins.

Unfortunately that meant Tanyel was single – and therefore was forced to quit the series.

Several stars were left in tears after her departure was announced, with Ron telling her: “I love you so much.”

He later said in the Beach Hut: “I cannot speak any more highly of that girl. She is one of a kind.”

Fans were devastated too, with one tweeting: “NOOOO I don’t want tanyel to go 😭😭😭😭. All the girls I expect to slip through the net and last ages, are leaving.”

Tanyel said after leaving the villa: “Going into the fire pit, I just had a weird feeling that I was going to be leaving the villa.

“I like Jordan as a person, but I knew that if he had chosen to couple up with me, I’d have been forcing it. I knew there was no spark.”

She added: “I had the most amazing time.

“I came in single but I’ve come out single but I’m more than happy as I didn’t force anything and I stayed true to myself.”
