Vanessa Feltz’s ex Ben Ofoedu says pair ‘hardly saw each other’ months before shock split
VANESSA Feltz’s ex Ben Ofoedu admitted the pair’s busy schedules led them to rarely see each other, months before their shock split.
TalkTV favourite and agony aunt Vanessa, 60, ended the 16-year relationship recently after allegedly discovering evidence Ben had cheated on her.
Last year at the British Lifestyle Awards, Ben spoke to The Sun about their romance, saying they were “polar opposites.”
He explained that he was busy trying to become an Agony Uncle, and that their conflicting work schedules meant they didn’t see much of each other.
As a result he said: “We’re not as together as much as people think we are.

“Because of the hours she works and stuff like that but I definitely think we’re almost polar opposites.”

But speaking about how they kept their spark, he said: “I think it’s difference.
“The fact we’re very different keeps it interesting.
“She’s in Ireland at the moment and I’m here, and then when she gets back on Sunday we’ll have so much to discuss. She’ll tell me what she got up to and I’ll tell her what I got up to.”
Ben said he thought “absence makes the heart grow fonder” in their relationship.
The agony aunt told her ITV colleagues that she felt "sad, hurt and terribly humiliated".
And it ended up being her time to be counselled as Phil and Holly Willoughby offered words of comfort.
Phil said: "We have been talking you through this for weeks.
"There are a hundred hugs for you when you go off camera today."
Vanessa told the pair that Ben's alleged infidelity was "a terrible shock" and "also a kind of gradual thing" as she pieced things together.
Vanessa continued: "I don’t want to dwell on the details, I really do want to focus on the future."

Phil told her: "There really is a bright future for you."
And Vanessa said: "I am telling myself there is a future, I really want there to be."
