But his crowd-pleasing appearance was far from spontaneous, with Dancing On Ice’s creative director Dan Whiston telling The Sun: “I felt like I was presenting Surprise Surprise on ice during Ekin-Su’s car wash disco routine!
“We’d secretly arranged for Davide to appear at the end and give Ekin-Su a big kiss.
“Ekin-Su certainly needed some TLC after her routine, as she injured her leg just before the show.
“I pulled Davide for a chat whilst setting the number, and he told me he’d love to take part in Dancing on Ice next year…. so watch this space!”

Guest causes ‘chaos’ backstage and leaves judge ‘really freaked out’
Guest star Mr Blobby wreaked havoc on last night's live show - but behind the scenes the 90s telly icon was even worse.
The googly-eyed 1990s comedy creature, who famously starred in Noel's House Party, burst into the arena to help plug the show's competition.
Blobby took a tumble as he dashed towards the camera and proceeded to flap around on his back on the ice.
Ashley's look of sheer bewilderment wasn't faked, according to the show's creative director Dan Whiston.
Dan said: "If it looked like Mr Blobby caused chaos on camera, it was nothing compared to what he got up to off camera.
"Believe me, it was genuine shock on Ashley Banjo's face. He wasn’t pretending. He was really freaked out by Mr Blobby as he didn’t know who he was!"
Ex Dancing On Ice star slams judges scoring as ‘unfair’
Former Dancing on Ice contestant Jake Quickenden has branded the shows scoring system as ”unfair”.
In his , the father of one wrote: “I feel like the scoring has gone a bit all over the place. They usually start low. I know my year, I got a five in the first week and then I had something to improve on.”
He added: “When you’re giving people sevens and eights in the first week, that just looks a bit weird. People can’t improve very much on an eight and there’s rarely going to be tens across the board because nobody’s perfect. The scoring has been quite baffling.”
And he didn’t stop there as he continued: ” I just want it to be fair. When someone’s getting marked so highly and then another person is getting marked so lowly, then that can influence the public not to vote.”

Fans have accused the show of being fixed after claiming the show's judges have "favourites".
While there is no evidence to indicate this is the case, some viewers are angry that Patsy Palmer was sent home and have blamed the scoring of her routine.
One commented: "Are you watching the same dancers?! Darren and Tippy are poor performers every week, people are voting to keep them in and the judges are keeping them in despite them performing poorly. Darren barely moves. Fix!"
