CORRIE fans are convinced accused murderer Laurence Reeves is related to former serial killer Pat Phelan in revenge plot.
Viewers know that Laurence (Robert Shaw Cameron) was accused of killing his late wife during their holiday in the alps.
He denied these claims and revealed the truth to Sean (Antony Cotton) about how she went of hiking on her own and fell - but is he telling the truth?
Laurence's behaviour reminded fans of a former serial killer Pat Phelan played by Connor McIntyre on the ITV soap.
Could Laurence be dating Sean to get revenge on Eileen (Sue Cleaver) who married Pat and assisted in bringing him down?
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Laurence is definitely a killer. I think he could be related to Pat Phelan.”

The dodgy builder murdered Michael Rodwell, Andy Carver, Vinny Ashford and Luke Britton during his reign of terror.

Laurence revealed to Sean that he had a dental emergency when his wife Lindsey fell to her death.

But viewers are not convinced by Laurence's alibi as they spot a flaw and ask why he would take his dental equipment with him on holiday.
One fan said: “I think Laurence is lying to Sean. In the Alps, a dental emergency in another cabin and he went, meaning he must’ve packed his dental equipment with him? Seriously?”
Another wrote: “So Laurence had all his dental tools with him while on hollibobs when he got called to a dental emergency? Really?”
A third penned: “Laurence and his dental emergency in Switzerland sounds really suspicious… I still don’t trust him!”
Actor Antony Cotton is still hoping for a happy ending for his character Sean.
He said: "Without a doubt it would be fantastic to see a big gay wedding on the street and yes it would be a lovely storyline for Sean with mishaps along the way, things getting cancelled and people not turning up but with a lovely happy day at the end.
"But there is also a flip side which is once you are settled that is when people can stop writing stories for the character.
"I guess it depends on what the story is, but I would definitely like there to be a wedding one day in the future that involves Sean."
