Geordie Shore in chaos as cast go to war with bosses over pay cheques and refuse to sign contracts
THE upcoming series of Geordie Shore is under fire after cast members have refused to sign on the dotted line, The Sun can exclusively reveal.
Cast members of the MTV reality hit have gone to war with show bosses after demanding higher fees than what has been offered to begin filming the next series of the long-running show.
Production on a new series had been expected to start imminently as MTV bosses hoped to capitalise on the success of last year's reunion series by bringing it back for another go around.
A source exclusively told The Sun: "The upcoming series of Geordie Shore is under fire and risks not being commissioned.
"Production and cast are currently in a massive pay war over the casts fees with the majority not happy with the offers being presented and they feel like they are being low balled.
"It’s all getting very messy."

The insider added that some of the show's original stars, who helped to make the programme a ratings winner, have already pulled out after failing to see eye-to-eye with MTV executives.
They added: "Some cast members have decided to stick together and demand higher fees before signing their contracts.
"Everyone is arguing and production doesn’t seem to care as some of the original cast members have already withdrawn and refused to take part."
Show chiefs were initially delighted when leading ladies Charlotte Crosby, Sophie Kasaei, Holly Hagan and Marine Simpson all agreed to return to the franchise that made them household names last year, but it seems that plans to treat viewers to another series have been derailed amid the current pay row.
Other stars who had returned for the reunion instalment included originals Jay Gardner and Greg Lake as well as controversial cast members including Chantelle Connelly.
Fans watched as the reality favourites enjoyed a cast break to Portugal, Holly's Ibiza wedding to footballer husband Jacob Blyth as well as a huge party where cast past and present came together to celebrate the show.
The news comes after The Sun revealed that bosses were expecting 'dynamite telly' in the upcoming series as long-standing friends Chloe Ferry and Bethan Kershaw fell out once again.
An insider said earlier this year: "Chloe and Bethan have always had an up and down relationship but this time it seems like things have soured for good.
"They have been arguing for months, but in recent weeks have decided to cut each other out of their lives."
The Sun has reached out to MTV for comment.
