BBC Breakfast in hosting shake-up as Carol Kirkwood missing from show yet again
BBC Breakfast is in the midst of a hosting shake-up after Carol Kirkwood was missing from the show for the second day running.
Carol, 60, usually appears on the morning programme to give viewers their daily weather updates - and is a firm BBC Breakfast fan favourite.
Instead, Matt Taylor took her place to present the numerous forecasts during the programme on both Monday and Tuesday - with no explanation given as to why Carol wasn't there.
Matt was welcomed onto the show by hosts Jon Kay and Sally Nugent as he informed viewers that there would be milder conditions.
Addressing Carol's absence, Matt told the presenters: "This morning I think Carol has run off with a bit of sunshine in her bag."
Many viewers noticed that their favourite weather reporter was absent.

It comes after Carol went missing from the show on Friday without explanation.
Last week, co-star Naga Munchetty, 47, had to give sports correspondent Mike Bushell a warning after he took a cheeky swipe at Carol.

At the end of one of Mike's segments, they started to move on to the weather, with Charlie asking Mike if it had been wet when he'd arrived at the studio that morning.
Mike pulled a face and said it had been, before Naga said: "You'd hope that Carol would cheer us up, wouldn't you?"
But Mike swiped: "I don't hold out much hope looking at her."
Naga replied: "Oh, oh!" as Carol, 60, appeared on screen, laughing before feigning mock outrage at Mike's comment.
Naga added: "I don't know if that came out as he meant," as Mike also tried to explain himself saying: "The skies behind you."
As Carol stood in front of a picture of a grey sky, she laughed as Naga warned Mike: "You need to be careful Mike, the temper will come out there."
Carol then added: "That's called backpedaling furiously, Mike."
BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One.
