Another location used for filming was the civil parish village of St Germans in east Cornwall.

It dates back to the 6th century, and is the oldest most continually lived in house in England.

The Ten Mile Kitchen in the Beyond Paradise was filmed in Port Eliot House and Gardens' stables, according to ShiptonAbbott.com.

Beyond Paradise is set in the fictional town of Shipton Abbott.

"It needed similarities with Saint Marie, but also its own personality and identity.

"Devon and the South-West just felt like the perfect place.”
