BBC Breakfast host Naga Munchetty ‘missing’ again in presenter shake up – and fans are all saying the same thing
BBC Breakfast host Naga Munchetty was again missing from her prime presenting role today.
The former Strictly Come Dancing star, 48, who regularly fronts the BBC show alongside Charlie Stayt, 60, was switched up for the weekend coverage.
It comes after Naga was absent from Friday’s episode – with Charlie joined by a familiar face.
On Saturday, Nina Warhurst, 42, was again anchoring BBC Breakfast alongside Roger Johnson, 54.
She wore a pretty red flower-print dress paired with matching black heels.
Roger looked as smart as ever in a suit, with a maroon-colour tie matching the hues of Nina’s outfit.
The duo opened the show chatting about the new Northern Ireland protocol deal which is expected to be presented to the House of Commons on Monday.
Fans were clearly excited by the presenter switch-up, with one writing on Twitter: “A very good Saturday morning to Roger and Nina. Lovely to see your smiling faces bringing us the news from the world famous BBC Breakfasts red sofa 😎 Wishing you both a great day.”
A second put: “Love these two presenters on #BBCBreakfast they bring charm & humanity to the unpleasant news they have to deliver.”
A third then gushed: “Finally the Best of the best, we love Nina, but there is only ONE ROGER JOHNSON.”
Yet the change meant fans would miss out on Naga’s weekly banter with Saturday Kitchen host Matt Tebbutt.
Naga fronts the news show every Thursday to Sunday.
Meanwhile, Naga wasn’t the only person missing from the show last week, as weather presenter Carol Kirkwood was also absent.
Carol, 60, has been off screen all week as she enjoys a holiday to Norway.
She took to her Twitter page to post a series of stunning snaps showing the peaceful fjords in Norway and the White Cliffs of Dover.
