The One Show fans baffled as Tom Daley appears on the show in his ‘pyjamas’

TOM Daley has left fans of The One Show scratching their heads after appearing on the sofa in his 'pyjamas'.

The Olympic diving champ was a guest on the BBC tea time favourite but baffled fans with his outfit choice.

Tom, 28, opted to wear a pale blue patterned suit and white vest for his chat - but viewers were convinced he was in his nightclothes.

Taking to Twitter, one fan commented: "I first thought Tom was in his pyjamas!"

Another added: ";Must be well past Tom Daley’s bedtime - he’s come in his pyjamas!"

And a third asked: "Why is Tom in his PJs?"

Someone else even mused: "Tom Daley is taking swimming so seriously, he's even wearing his life saving PJs on TV!"

Tom appeared on The One Show on Monday night to speak about his podcast Made With Love.

The gold medal winner's audio show shares its name with a knitting and crochet book he released in October.

Tom revealed he has bagged some huge names for his podcast, including Canadian singer Shania Twain, activist Greta Thunberg, F1 racing driver Lando Norris and Britain's fastest woman Dina Asher-Smith.

When asked how he has snared the stars, the dad-of-one admitted: "I just reach out to people on Instagram if there's little combinations of things we have in common!"

Tom appeared on The One Show alongside US singer and Starstruck judge Adam Lambert - who was also sporting a rather unique outfit.

Having learned about Tom's knitting hobby, Adam asked him: "Do they all get a knitted scarf?"

Tom replied: "Everyone gets a knit kit! Yeah, they all get a knit kit!"
