RACHEL Burden has climbed the ladder at the BBC and cemented herself as one of their leading broadcasters.
The talented presenter has enjoyed an incredible career at the Beeb, which includes hosting the coveted BBC Breakfast slot.
Who is Rachel Burden?
Rachel Mary Ann Cecilia Burden was born on January 22, 1975, in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.
She is a newsreader, radio news reporter, and presenter.
Rachel followed in her dad Paul Burden's footsteps, who is also known for his work at the BBC.
She began her career as a reporter at BBC Radio Suffolk, and 15 months later joined BBC Radio Bristol where she co-hosted the early morning breakfast show, working alongside Nigel Dando, the brother of the murdered presenter Jill Dando.

Rachel then joined Radio 5 Live in 2003, the day before her father retired from the BBC.
She took over the weekday breakfast show from Shelagh Fogarty in May 2011.
Since 2015 Rachel also works for BBC Breakfast as a relief presenter.

Why has Rachel Burden replaced Naga Munchetty on BBC Breakfast?
Since March 1, 2023, Rachel has been filling in for Naga Munchetty while she is away from her job.
The BBC hasn't revealed why Naga is off but BBC Breakfast viewers have loved seeing Rachel on the show.
One wrote on Twitter: "Please can we keep Rachel instead of the awful Naga?"
Another added: "BBCBreakfast Rachel burden is one of the better presenters on the BBC."
Is Rachel Burden married?
Rachel married her husband and fellow journalist Luke Mendham in 2004.
Together they have four children - daughters Rose and Alice, and sons Sam and Henry.
The family live in Knutsford, Cheshire.
