Angel Strawbridge reveals surprising reaction to Escape to the Chateau ending ahead of new spin-off show
ANGEL Strawbridge has revealed a surprising reaction to Escape to the Chateau ending ahead of her new spin-off show.
The 44-year-old TV star shot to fame when she and her husband Dick, 62, appeared on the Channel 4 show.
It saw them buy a dilapidated 19th-century French chateau and begin restoring it.
But after tirelessly working to bring the stunning property back to its former glory, they've called time on the series.
It was announced last year the series would be coming to an end leaving fans devastated.
And now Angel has shared how she feels about the much-loved programme wrapping up.

She told HELLO!: "We started filming in 2014 – so it's been nearly nine years! And nine seasons!
"The Chateau is our home, so nothing has changed for us as a family. We will continue to share our adventures but in a slightly different way.
"With the children growing up fast, it felt like the right thing to do and it's satisfying to leave a project on a high."
Dick and Angel already have another TV show lined up with Channel 4.
Their brand new show Escape to the Chateau: Secret France is currently in production.
It sees the TV couple travel around the country showing viewers what it has to offer and its history.
Previously teasing the new series, they said: "Hello to you all! We are busy filming our new series for Channel 4.
"'Escape to the Chateau: Secret France' will be on your screens later this year – we can’t wait to share our discoveries with you!"
Meanwhile, they are currently in Australia as they take their Dare To Do It tour on the road.
According to their official website, they'll return to their mansion in March.
