LOVE Island winner Sanam Harrinanan appeared to 'snub' two of her fellow finalists after winning the £50,000 cash prize with partner Kai Fagan.

The pair were runaway winners on Monday night, romping home with 44 per cent of the 800,000 votes cast.

Despite their dominance, the pair were genuinely shocked to win the show and admitted afterwards who they expected to be crowned victorious.

Sanam said: “We thought Tom and Samie, or Ron and Lana. As a viewer, before I came in, I thought Ron and Lana’s journey was really lovely. Even being in the Villa with them you can see how genuine they are for one another.

"I think they are so compatible and so cute - I am rooting for them, because I know it’s real."

She continued: “With Tom and Samie they have also been through a journey but they also just look so good together. They are hot! They got sexiest couple and I thought, yeah, you might as well just win ha. Tom is such a lovely guy and he also brought out a lot in Samie as well.”

There was no special mention for Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga, who finished way back in fourth with just two percent of the vote.

Early in the show, the pair emerged as frontrunners after forming a close bond and becoming the first to drop the L-bomb.

But as the series progressed, viewers weren't happy with Tanya's treatment of her man, particularly the way she ditched him for Martin Akinola in Casa Amor, before making a dramatic U-turn.

Meanwhile Kai and Sanam are already looking ahead to moving in together.

In their exit interview, Kai admitted: "I've made it pretty clear that she is definitely going to be my girlfriend on the outside!

"As soon as we get out here, that's when even more effort starts. You can really value someone's time and effort when you have to put in the time and effort. That's what I am looking forward to."

Sanam then explained: "That is something I want to work towards. I've spoken to Kai as well and I would love to work on building us up more on the outside and then work towards moving in together."

Kai quickly added: "I've always said for the right girl and the right relationship you would move anywhere. If you've got a connection with someone and want to spend time with someone wherever they are it's going to feel like home. Living in Bedford is no issue!"

Whilst Sanam confirmed: "I think it's something we both want, so we will work towards it."
