She candidly said: “Well, my boobs, I had them made smaller, but with one of them, my nipple nearly died. So I was really poorly. I went for a week [in hospital] and stayed three weeks.”

She added: “So yeah, it was horrific. Horrific. And mentally, I had to dig deep into meditation and believing that I’d be okay. I was really poorly. It wasn’t so much my confidence, funnily enough.”

Viewers of the show saw Lauren, who is a firm favourite, battle through a bitter split with her property tycoon ex husband Paul Simon.

In 2018, she quit the show without an explanation but returned in 2020.

Detailing how her ordeal affected her mental health she added: ” It was more my mental stress of saying I’m going to be okay, I’m going to be okay. I was so lucky. When it all went wrong, I was abroad. I got in touch with a surgeon in the UK, and he’s been amazing.”

The mum of two, decided to launch her own perfume business in a bid to show her daughters the importance of being financially independent.

In October 2016, she released her luxury fragrance Lauren Stone Number One, which retails at an eye-watering £120.

Lauren owns not only one but two properties, one of which is in Marbella and has landed a number of lucrative businesses outside of the Real Housewives franchise.
