Bradley Walsh’s son Barney makes soap debut as he joins The Bay and Grantchester stars in Casualty
SOAP bosses have teased a string of new arrivals in Holby City Hospital.
Barney Walsh, the son of TV star Bradley Walsh, is joining the Casualty line-up as a brand new character in upcoming scenes.
With a famous father perpetually under the limelight, in ITV soap Coronation Street or at the helm in The Chase, it's no wonder the 25-year-old has decided to follow in his footsteps.
After the heart-breaking death of long-standing Holby nurse Robyn Miller (played by Amanda Henderson), producers of the medical drama are filling the void with numerous fresh faces.
The budding actor will join the BBC One soap as accident-prone nurse Cameron, a young man who clearly doesn't have the desirable qualities to work in an ED.
A perpetual terrified fish out of water woefully lacking in self-confidence, Cameron will join the Holby hospital staff to realise he may have bitten off more than he can chew.

Will he be able to find his mark?
The new soap star will be making his Casualty debut with Anna Chell (The Bay), Sarah Seggari (Jerk, I Hate Suzie) and Eddie-Joe Robinson (Grantchester, Small Axe).
Anna, Sarah and Eddie will respectively portray Jodie, Rida and Ryan.
Hailing from Westminster, Barney Walsh already has several acting credits to his name.

The spitting image of his famous dad, Barney kicked off his career in 2019 when he appeared as a young Arthur in the Guy Ritchie film King Arthur: Legend of The Sword.
That same year, Barney made an appearance in the movie Indulgence and has gone on to star in several episodes of The Larkins alongside his father.
Earlier this year, he was a guest star in the new series of BBC detective drama Death in Paradise.
Speaking about his upcoming arrival in Casualty, he said: "It’s been an incredible experience to join the cast of Casualty alongside Anna, Sarah, JJ and Eddie."
"It’s a real joy to come to work every day and play Cam. I can’t wait for the viewers to meet nurse Cam as he arrives at Holby and very quickly realises he might have bitten off more than he can chew!"
Casualty producer Jon Sen added: "we are thrilled to introduce these exciting new characters to the Casualty fans."
"Jodie, Cam, Rida and Ryan are a breath of fresh air - bringing hope, heart, wit, warmth and irreverence to the ED. We are sure the audience are going to love them as much we already do."
Casualty airs on Saturdays from 9pm on BBC One.
