Marnie Simpson breaks her silence after tying the knot as she shows off her huge new diamond ring

GEORDIE Shore star Marnie Simpson has broken her silence after tying the knot - showing off her HUGE diamond ring.

The TV star took to her Instagram to tell fans she "is a wife" as she flashed her wedding ring for her social media followers.

Marnie, 31, married her X Factor star beau Casey Johnson, with whom she shares her two children, earlier this week.

The former reality TV star got engaged to the singer back in 2020, and finally said 'I do' in a star-studded ceremony on Wednesday.

The couple had been forced to delay their nuptials, which was attended by the Geordie Shore cast, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

A source told The Sun ahead of their nuptials: “The day is finally here and Marnie and Casey can’t wait to make it official.

“Some of Marnie’s Geordie Shore cast mates will be there and they are letting the cameras capture it all.”

But since the big day, the pair have remained radio silent about the ceremony, failing to show off behind-the-scenes snaps.

Now, Marnie has shown off her huge diamond ring for the first time, as she told fans in a stories post: "I'm a wife, omg."

Marnie could be seen looking shocked as she held up her ring finger, revealing a square-cut diamond on top of a diamond-encrusted band.

Casey and Marnie met on the show Single AF in 2017.

They confirmed their relationship just a few months after the show ended - a move that is against show rules but it didn't seem to worry the smitten love-birds.

They welcomed their first son, Rox, on October 29 2019, and then a second baby boy, Oax, on 18 May 2022.

Marnie and Casey were originally going to marry in August 2021, but had to put their plans on the back burner.

She said at the time: “I’ve got no intention of getting married anytime soon. I’ve got enough stress on my plate.”

Over the last few weeks, Marnie has been getting herself wedding ready – as she had her lashes and baby botox done.
