Big Brother ITV2 reboot thrown into chaos as house falls through – after show launch is delayed

BIG Brother’s long-awaited re-boot has been thrown into chaos after bosses were dealt “a real blow.”

The Sun was first to report how the reality TV show was pushed back from spring to autumn in the first in a series of delays.

Now we can exclusively reveal that schedule delay has created an additional nightmare for show bosses as the house in which they had planned to shoot the series has also fallen through – due to the change in timetable.

An insider has told us: “Production thought they had found the perfect location to shoot the new series in, but the show being pushed back by so many months meant the place they wanted was no longer available at that time.

“It’s been a real blow as bosses have had to go back to the drawing board, and it’s another headache for the show as the delay already messed with crew availability and annoyed some production staff who had their contracts paused or cancelled.”

Yet there appears to be some positive news for reality TV fans.

The source added: “The good news is the team have now found a new location and are very close to finalising it.

“There shouldn’t be any more delays now and they are really happy with the place they have found.

“They know there is a lot riding on this reboot and they want to get it perfect – they’re confident it will be worth the wait and viewers will love the new Big Brother house when they see it.”

The Sun has approached ITV for comment.

Previously, insiders working on Big Brother said some staff were angry about the delay to the production.

The Sun previously revealed how Big Brother would air later next year on ITV2 and ITVX with a huge fanfare.

Meanwhile, broadcaster Aj Odudu is currently the favourite to front the re-boot.
