EastEnders fans all say the same thing as iconic TV family reunites decades after soap exit
EASTENDERS fans all said the same thing as an iconic TV family reunited decades after their soap exit.
Albert Square has seen many families come and go since it debuted in 1985.
Back in 1998, the Di Marco family were introduced to EastEnders as the Mitchells' deadly rivals.
They included brothers Beppe and Gianni - very much the Italian stallion version of Phil and Grant - plus younger sisters Teresa and Nicky.
The family, ruled by widowed matriarch Rosa, ran an Italian restaurant called Guiseppe's - but their main business was absolute non-stop drama.
Their reign of madness made stars of Michael Greco, Marc Bannerman, Leila Birch and young actress Carly Hillman.

Over the weekend, actress Louise Jameson - who played Rosa - shared a snap with her former TV offspring after reuniting for lunch.
The picture featured Michael, Leila and Carly cuddled up together, and she wrote: "Lunch today, from another era. My beautiful on screen family. What a joy" alongside three love heart emojis.
EastEnders fans were quick to comment, with one writing: "Lovely! Its wonderful (IMO), when work brings you friends for life… every now and then jobs come along, and everything just clicks for the rest of our lives - WONDERFUL! X."
Another added: "Reunion!! How wonderful to see!"

The only person missing from the reunion was Marc Bannerman, who played Gianni.
Since they left the show, the stars have all gone on to different things, with Louise joining rival soap Emmerdale in 2022 as Mary Goskirk.
