Katie Piper reveals her biggest ‘struggle’ as she filmed eye-opening US prison documentary
TV presenter Katie Piper has opened up on her biggest struggle after jetting off to the US for her latest television venture.
Katie, 39, has spoken candidly about her 'mum-guilt' after being forced to leave her children in order to film her brand new documentary abroad.
She has been working on her upcoming documentary Katie Piper: Babies Behind Bars and told the of the "irrational guilt" she feels when she is away working.
Katie told the publication: “Like many women, I have this irrational guilt about working and leaving the children.
“I was really struggling with it with regards to my US trip – I missed the school play, I missed their homework."
She went onto add: “It’s very much a female thing. I think if you have a career and a family, you feel a responsibility to make sure no cracks show in any of the roles.

"You want to show colleagues you are capable but also to not let your family down.
"I haven’t seen my kids for three weeks and have all this irrational guilt about leaving my children."
Katie is mum to her two daughters - Belle, eight and Penelope, five.
The Loose Women panellist's documentary comes after it was confirmed that her self-titled weekend breakfast show would be returning this weekend for a second outing.

Katie will be fronting the show once again with fellow TV favourites Laura Whitmore and Oti Mabuse also fronting spin-off editions.
