Gogglebox star Sid Siddiqui alarms fans as he reveals healthcare nightmare saying ‘I don’t feel safe’
GOOGLEBOX legend Sid Siddiqui was left fuming yesterday after he waited nearly two hours to get a doctor’s appointment – and then missed out.
The 75-year-old told fans he “didn’t feel safe” with the NHS anymore as he opened up about his healthcare nightmare.
Sid shared: “This morning I waited 1 hour 55 mins in a telephone queue at my GP surgery, only to be told there are no appointments left for the day and I should start again tomorrow at 8.
“I don’t feel safe and protected under NHS anymore.”
His followers rushed to send their support, with one person writing: “I am so sorry you have been let down x Love Nurse Susie x.”

A second said: “So sorry that has happened. We know they're doing their best but just hugely underfunded. Be a patient patient. #loveNHS.”
And a third added: “I'm sorry, Sid. Thank you for making it public.”
Sid appears on Gogglebox with his two sons, Baasit and Umar whilst his third son Raza makes occasional appearances.
Sid worked for the NHS for 37 years before finding new found fame on the show.

Speaking about their longevity, Sid said: “I think it is quite cute in a way that a father and his sons – it could be father and daughters although they are shy, so they don’t come on – watch TV together.
“We try to be as we are. We are not very good actors. We are what we are so that is probably another element of it.”
