ITV Corrie’s Ellie Leach teases dark Craig Tinker twist ahead of exit storyline
FAYE Windass is headed for an explosive exit from the cobbles as she begins to struggle to imagine a life without her daughter Miley.
Coronation Street star Ellie Leach has revealed what vile lengths Craig Tinker would go to in an attempt to keep his partner by his side.
The Weatherfield copper portrayed by Colson Smith recently dropped to one knee to ask his long-term partner Faye Windass to marry him - and she said "yes."
Unbeknownst to him, however, the Underworld employee is fighting an inner battle as spending time with both her daughter Miley and former flame Jackson Hodge broadened her horizons.
Speaking to The Sun and other press, Corrie star Ellie Leach revealed her on-screen alter ego is "very torn" and unable to make out where she truly belongs.
"She is very torn about her life with Craig and what her life could be with Miley, and also what her life could be with Jackson", she said.

"She sees how much he cares about Miley and how much he loves Miley and what a great dad he is."
"I think she's just so in her own head about the life she could have with her family and I think knowing that she couldn't really have children of her own with Craig, she's got that [image of] what the future would look like as a family with her own daughter."
Coming up, Faye begins to rethink her entire life, including her engagement with Craig... which prompts the loveable character to show his dark side.
Desperate to keep his relationship afloat and intact, Craig is set to blackmail Faye by using her own secrets against her.

Faye will be met with an impossible choice: give up on Miley or let the truth about her involvement in Ted's death come to light.
Regular ITV viewers will remember that Faye was involved in a hit-and-run in early 2022 with Emma Brooker.
Emma was behind the wheel when she hit pensioner Ted Spear with her car while heading home from a New Year's Eve party.
Ted survived the accident and even exchanged pleasantries with the girls who took him home... where he later succumbed alone to a blood clot he sustained from the hit.
Faye and Emma found the old man dead in his home when they decided to bring him biscuits but the visit turned into a cover-up mission as they realised they'd made several incriminating mistakes that could lead to a serious charge.
With Adam Barlow's assault still weighing heavy on her mind, Faye was terrified she could go back to prison, which only convinced her even further to help Emma hide any proof of their involvement in Ted's death.
Craig eventually found out the truth but agreed to keep quiet for their sake.
Emma found a way out by getting romantically involved with Ted's grandson Jon, who forgave her actions after she confessed everything, and leaving the cobbles for Australia.
Faye, on the other hand, will be thrown back into turmoil as Craig will hold Ted's death over her head.

Faced with his blackmail, Faye will be in utter disbelief, unable to recognise the man she thought she loved.
"Everyone knows he's this fun loving character and we've never really seen him react like that before", Ellie Leach teased.
"He's always just so nice so I feel like she's definitely wondering where this has come from, 'who is this person?'"
Unfortunately for Craig, there's little guarantee his plan will work out in his favour.
"As much as it drives her to stay, because she's scared of that getting out, it's also driving her further and further away. Because she doesn't want to be in a relationship with somebody who is literally blackmailing her but also she can't not be in that relationship because, then, people will find out what actually happened."
"And then she has the fear of going back to prison which she would never want to do. So she definitely sees him in a different light."
"And I think he's clutching on straws (...) he is kind of trapping her and forcing her to make a decision she might not want to make."
