Hit singer forced to pull out of Coronation Concert hours before hitting the stage due to illness

POP star Freya Ridings has pulled out of the Coronation Concert due to sickness, it has been reported.

The hit singer had to cancel her slot on the stage at the biggest gig of the year for the Coronation - just hours before showtime.

Freya  will no longer be singing at the Coronation Concert on Sunday.

Instead Zak Abel will now join the line-up which includes headliner  Lionel Richie and Afro-beats queen Tiwa Savage.

The Sun has already revealed Take That’s Gary BarlowHoward Donald and Mark Owen had signed up.

Fans were over the moon that Freya, 29, was set to take to the Windsor Caste stage as part of this weekend's celebrations, as King Charles III and Queen Camilla are crowned.

Soul star Zak will now be filling in for Freya at the last minute.

He is set duet with classical-soul composer and producer Alexis Ffrench at the pop music extravaganza.

US singer Katy Perry will also star in the Coronation concert at Windsor Castle — with the crowd including the new King and Queen.

Charles and Camilla will be joined by Kate and William for the celebration, which will feature a spectacular drone display.

I Kissed A Girl singer Katy — who lives on the same Montecito estate as Harry and Meghan — was announced yesterday along with Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, who will duet with Welsh opera star Sir Bryn Terfel.

The concert, taking place the day after the Westminster Abbey service on May 6, will be screened live by the BBC.

It will also include soul pianist Alexis Ffrench.

The star-studded concert will be broadcast from 8pm on BBC One, BBC iPlayer, Radio 2 and BBC Sounds on Sunday 7th May.
