Towie star Junaid left shaken after being savagely abused during night out in London
TOWIE star Junaid Ahmed has bravely opened up about his horrific ordeal on a night out in London.
The 27 year old reality TV star revealed that he was the subject of cruel homophobic abuse by a group of men in their 40s, while he was out with co-star Dani Imbert.
The terrifying incident is said to have happened at The May Fair Bar in central London last Friday.
And Junaid, who joined the cast last year, recalled that he was shockingly branded a "gay c**t", simply due to his sexuality.
The well manicured star explained that the group of men approached his table after recognising him and Dani on the back of their appearances on The Only Way Is Essex.
But things soon turned nasty as one of the men shouted: "Nah, I don't want him on my table... I don't want him anywhere near me."

Junaid, who is also an influencer told : "He was shouting homophobic abuse at me and I was like, 'Oh my gosh, this is actually crazy... in the middle of May Fair Bar, I'm mortified and embarrassed'."
He added: "He's shouting all this abuse at me and then his mates are all getting involved just hurling the most homophobic abuse at me."
Clearly shaken up, he went on to add: "I couldn't believe we were in a public setting and they were doing this. I've literally never felt like I wanted the ground to swallow me up more."
In a show of defiance, Junaid claimed that he is determined to not allow his experience to stop him from enjoying future nights out in London, although he has not reported the incident to the police.

But the best friend of Harry Derbidge had nothing but praise for the way staff at the exclusive bar handled the situation.
He continued: "Honestly, I'm just shocked because I've never ever had this. Since being in the public eye, I've never really had anything like this."
Junaid went on to explain: "Obviously, we get trolls on social media, which is so normal but I've never, ever had this sort of abuse face-to-face with people."
He added: "I would not ever think stuff like that. Whereas like a group of grown men in their 40s being homophobic. Seriously?"
