Naga Munchetty bags hosting role on legendary show – and it’s worlds away from BBC Breakfast

BBC BREAKFAST’s Naga Munchetty has bagged herself a hosting role on one of the channel’s most iconic shows.

The 48-year-old, who has presented the morning news alongside Charlie Stayt since 2014, will switch it up in a brand new time slot.

The BBC has revealed Naga is set to guest host an episode of its hugely successful quiz show Have I Got News For You for the first time.

The episode, which will air at 9pm on Friday 2nd June, BBC One, will see the journalist joined by Times Radio host and former leader of the Ruth Davidson

Also in attendance will be longtime members Ian Hislop, 62, and Paul Merton, 65, ready with their usual quips and fresh take on the current news.

It comes after the BBC's recent shakeup which left Naga without her co-host Charlie Stayt by her side.

Leaving Naga in the studio in Salford, Manchester, the 60-year-old journalist broadcasted outside from his very own red sofa in Liverpool.

In wake of the city hosting the Eurovision Song Contest last week, Charlie was joined by a number of music acts and people connected to the annual competition throughout the show.
