Vanessa, 61, quit her high profile job which included her early morning show on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio London after nearly 20 years.

But the media personality has set a new record for the station as the latest listening figures were announced by the official body, RAJAR (Radio Joint Audience Research).

The star has attracted masses of new listeners to her show as her reach increased by 25%.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Vanessa says that she finally feels liberated as she tackles the big stories daily on her show.

A delighted Vanessa said: "I am thrilled so many new listeners and viewers have left the anaemic and flavourless BBC and come to find Vanessa Unleashed at TalkTV.

"After years under a tight rein I can finally be myself, take on the big guns and nuke the hype.

"These record Rajars show that I have finally found my broadcasting home."

Other shows also saw record figures, including as figures were up across the board by 29%.

The This Morning presenter has broken new ground on talkTV, having fronted their coverage of the Coronation of HM King Charles III.

This comes after Vanessa previously hailed her show for helping to get her through the heartbreak, after her split with Ben Ofoedu, 50.

The TV presenter explained: "I've got a fantastic team and I absolutely love them.

"And I know all presenters will always say that, but I am not just saying it. I really, really mean it. They've been in my corner.

"I felt as if I was sort of, getting refuge with friends every day."

"It's very, very good to have something to take your mind off a broken heart," she added.
