The 51-year-old Irishman is best known as a presenter for BT Sport - covering the Rugby Union and MotoGP.
He made his debut on This Morning last year while stepping in for Dermot alongside Alison.
She will be on the show as normal tomorrow after a turbulent time for This Morning since Phillip's fate was sealed last week.
