The Repair Shop guest breaks down in tears as she pays emotional tribute to late family member
THE Repair Shop had a very emotional episode as a guest broke down in tears whilst she paid an emotional tribute to her late family member.
Goldsmith Richard Talman, 44, was given a very special task as Michelle Hammond wanted to restore her late grandmother's engagement ring.

Both Jay Blades, 53, and Richard were determined to do what they could for Michelle after she opened up to them.
She hardly able to speak as she revealed the meaning behind her ring and the love she has for her late grandparent on The Repair Shop.
The two craftsmen were silent as Michelle burst into tears after the ring was repaired as she reminisced on the fond memories she has, whilst thanking the experts for their work.
Michelle explained: "It's an engagement ring and it belonged to my grandma,"

So my grandma passed away in April this year. She was 99 years of age."
Jay gasped at the age and the pair concluded she was a "proper legend."
Michelle went on: "So when we had to clear out her house, we were rummaging through her things and we found her engagement ring hidden away in a little teapot.
"She and my grandad got engaged after the war. They got married in 1946. She was actually engaged to someone else..."

After Jay caught a small giggling fit, she carried on: "So she was engaged to someone else and she was meant to meet her current fiance at a local pub.
"So she went to the pub but she bumped into my granddad and obviously fell in love... bit of a whirlwind."
She went onto reveal that her grandparents remained together all the way until 1991 when her grandfather passed away.
Richard then confirmed the ring had a "lifetime's worth of wear," as he remarked that the object had "seen better days, poor thing".
But when Michelle arrived to see the results and collect her heirloom, Richard looked nervous as she said that the ring " means everything..."
She added: "No, it means so much, to have it back... and mended, I can't wait to see it."
When she first set her eyes on the newly restored ring, Michelle audibly gasped and immediately started to cry.
Overcome with emotion she exclaimed: "That is beautiful, wow... I'm sorry, wow."
Michelle continued: "My god, that is so beautiful. Every Christmas when she used to come and stay with us, when we gave her a Christmas present from whoever it was, she'd always pick it up and kiss it... so you might think it's a bit strange, but I'm just going to do that now."

She sobbed: "So that's for you, gran."
In a touching moment after she left the shop, Jay turned to his colleague and noted: "Bless her, that was special."
