Brits give damning verdict on Phillip Schofield’s future career after affair with young male colleague
FOUR in ten viewers think Phillip Schofield should never be able to appear on TV again, a Sun on Sunday survey found yesterday.
In a poll of more than 2,000 people across the nation, 39.1 per cent said they did not think he would after the news of his affair.
And only 30.5 per cent would be happy for him to return. A quarter (26.5 per cent) said their view was “much more negative” of him after news of his younger man affair.
A second survey of 1,854 This Morning viewers by revealed who they thought should replace him.
It found 32 per cent wanted Alison Hammond, 28 per cent Dermot O’Leary and 27 per cent Rylan Clark.
In a third survey, 75 per cent (1,793 viewers) said they would still tune in even without Phillip on the sofa while 16 per cent revealed they would watch it more.

When asked if they thought ITV should have kept Phillip rather than Holly, just ten per cent said yes. In comparison, 45 per cent said no while 44 per cent were not sure.
The show remains loved by two thirds of viewers, the survey revealed. When asked, “Should ITV scrap This Morning?”, 71 per cent of respondents said no.
It means nearly a third of This Morning viewers polled think it should be scrapped.
